Alan J. Heideman, MD, received his doctor of medicine degree at Yeshiva University’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York, in 1987. Prior to medical school, he obtained his undergraduate degree and graduated Phi Beta Kappa at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Heideman went to St. Vincent’s Medical Center to complete his internship, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, to complete his radiology residency and serve as Chief Resident, and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s NMR Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to achieve his subspecialty fellowship. Dr. Heideman is a Diplomat of the American Board of radiology and the National Board of Medical Examiners while also holding certification in vascular technology.his professional society memberships include the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Radiological Society of New Jersey, and the Medical Society of New Jersey. He has also been actively involved in radiology research with many publications in peer related journals.
